YOGA FOR MUMS
SUITABLE FROM SIX TO TEN WEEKS POST PARTUM ONWARDS
Specially designed for anyone who has given birth (no matter how long ago!) this class helps you connect to your body and sense of self post birth and as you navigate life as a parent. We use a specific breathing technique to effectively rehab your core and pelvic floor muscles, as well as other pranayama and visualisation exercises for relaxation and connection. The yoga asana (poses) help build strength in key areas, as well as stretching and releasing tight muscles and facia. You will be guided through poses suited to your specific stage of postnatal recovery or parenthood journey, with plenty of time to tune in to what your body is telling you and move at your own pace.

The class is an opportunity to try something new, and Liz weaves in elements from many different styles of yoga, meditation practices, and a little bit of yoga philosophy. Many people find themselves lost and overwhelmed after they become a parent, whether it is the first time or the fifth (or more!), and the class gives you an opportunity to focus on yourself, and reconnect with who you are outside of home. Each class ends with a deeply relaxing savasana or Yoga Nidra. As with all Liz's classes there is a social element and there's plenty of opportunities for a drink in The Moreton Hall Pub after class.
Thursday 19:45, Christ Church Moreton Hall, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
ASHER
I have attended a selection of Liz’s classes over the last year including Pregnancy Yoga, Baby Yoga and also continue to do Postnatal and have enjoyed every single one. It’s a great place to meet new people who are sharing the same experiences in pregnancy/early motherhood. Couldn’t recommend Liz’s classes enough!
EMMA
We started Liz's yoga classes when my little boy was 3 weeks old, and we're still going 10 months later! The classes are relaxed and it doesn't matter if you need to feed/change/cuddle your baby at any point. It's a great way to meet moms in the area and the postnatal evening class makes a great excuse for some baby-free time. Highly recommend!
